The Peoples’ Choir is for everybody. It is a social and cultural opportunity for all people. It is a place where we aim to build self esteem and deliver a program that’s creative and manageable for people of all ages and from all socio- economic groups. We welcome and include individuals of all ages, abilities, nationalities and religions. Our primary activity is singing and the joy of music, but we encourage inclusion and community spirit. The Choir meets at Stonnington Uniting Church, Ewing Memorial Hall, 59 Burke Road, East Malvern 3145 every Tuesday at 7pm to 8.30pm.

Zing! Sing in Dutch initially formed in 2016 as a barbershop ensemble of singers with a passion for Dutch vocal tradition. Since then, it has grown to become a leading proponent of Dutch cultural heritage, new and old, in Australia. Zing! prides itself in the rich and wide array of repertoire it performs, including centuries-old folk and art song, contemporary pop and much more. Regular performances at events such as the annual Holland Festival and the TesselaarTulip Festival are supplemented with smaller-scale private and community concerts. Rehearsals take place each week at the Sol Green Community Centre, South Melbourne.

Over the years, we have established ourselves as a prominent presence in the local music scene, hosting our annual ensemble for nine consecutive years. These showcases have allowed us to share the enchanting melodies and cultural heritage of Chinese music with our community.
Beyond our annual ensemble, we have had the privilege of gracing the stages of numerous community activities, bringing the beauty of Chinese music to audiences of all backgrounds. These performances have served as a bridge, connecting different cultures and fostering a sense of unity within our community.
As a group, we are committed to preserving and promoting the rich traditions of Chinese music. We invite you to join us on this captivating musical journey through the power of Chinese music.

The Melbourne Chinese Choir was established in 1991 and has long-running standing as a leading organisation dedicated to sharing, promoting and upholding Chinese culture and art in Australia. Whilst maintaining a steadfast dedication to local community and grassroots participation, The Melbourne Chinese Choir’s achievements include CD releases and international choral competition performances. Rehearsals take place in Box Hill, with regular concerts across Melbourne and beyond.
Directed by multi award-winning opera singer Shu-Cheen Yu, the Lotus Wind Choir is an exciting and rapidly growing ensemble that engages with songs across several languages (including Chinese). Recent highlights include a tour to Tasmania in February of this year to participate in Hobart-based Chinese New Year festivities. Rehearsals take place in the City of Stonnington (Prahran), with concerts occurring throughout the year.
Both choirs pride themselves in performing a wide range of repertoire, including folk song, art song and popular items. In 2022, the two ensembles enjoyed their first joint concert with a combined performance at the Whitehorse Spring Festival.

Lini is a Baha’i music artist, dancer, and choreographer, whose work blends different genres, including hip hop, commercial, and contemporary styles. Her choreography has been featured at events as as St Kilda Festival, where she led a hip hop dance troupe that left audiences energized and inspired. She has also choreographed and taught to 70 people at her event Dance for Dust to raise money for Red Dust. Her creative vision extends to music videos, where she has choreographed for artists like Bel Kil on "Rose Street" and ISHAN on "Blank Wall," infusing each project with her unique style.
Lini’s work is more than just dance—it's a form of storytelling. She uses movement to convey meaningful messages, encouraging others to reflect and take positive steps in their lives.
